RMT University: Organization Matters

Organizing Work Effectively

Once work is consistently entering the system, the next challenge is organization. When the same type of work gets entered under different names, "Pothole Repair," "Road Patch," "Street Maintenance," it becomes harder to filter tasks, understand workload, and spot trends across the organization. In this video, you'll learn why tags, locations, and materials bring structure to your work orders, and why over-categorizing early on usually creates more confusion than clarity.

You'll also see why a simple system everyone follows consistently beats a detailed one only some people use correctly, and how that consistency turns Work Order Management from a list of disconnected tasks into a clear operational picture of what's actually happening day to day.
